If it's Belmont, our non-conference series is obviously off. As I stated weeks ago, Belmont in not for this year.

According to Amanda, there's "big news" on the way at both the program and conference levels.
I'll just hazard a guess, as she wasn't at liberty to divulge any specifics:
1, The Rock of Franklin will become the baseball team's new home and a fundraising effort is under way in earnest with a large donation for a new and greatly overdue men's basketball practice facility.
2, Northern Kentucky will be announced as the league's 10th member and a challenge series with another midmajor conference -- I feel like it will be the CAA -- will begin in 2016-17.

With news that NKY will be the 10th member of the HL, we should find out if it's for the 2015-16 season. (Which I'm guessing it is) That will leave the HL schools to schedule 12 to 13 non-conference games, instead of 14 to 15. That will help the cause!

With the addition of Northern Kentucky I am assuming we are back to an 18 game conference slate. That leaves up to 12 games to fill in the non-conference.

I'm looking forward to the 10th team now back in the Horizon League as I hope the league goes back to the Thursday/Saturday or Friday/Sunday when on ESPNU on Friday nights way of scheduling for conference games. What a train wreak it was last year with Monday, Tuesday, etc conference games.

Instead of that, we got a conference tourney in Detroit and NKU. At least you were partially right.

Home-and-home with Belmont, right? (By the way, why isn't it called a home-and-away?)
Our dance card is filling up fast!

Well, we're not playing Belmont this year.
Looks like a couple of non-D1s.
Whatever. That's the way it is.

Good Lord am I sick of paying hundreds of dollars for season tickets to 14 or 15 regular season home games when 2 of them are not even against Division I competition. I understand scheduling is not easy, but TRY HARDER.

How do we know for sure that we are playing two non-D1's?
That's really disappointing news if it turns out to be the case.
