I apologize for the tone. I should have put that differently, you're right. I assumed you knew more about the reasons the kid "decommitted" from MU as there has been a lot of press.
As a practical matter he's talented enough to land at a high D1 school and there will probably be one or more that will take the chance. Our coaches are pretty good about doing their due diligence, and I suspect that will ultimately eliminate any real chance of him landing here.

He knows the back story. We were talking about it yesterday at the game. No need to bring it up here. Perhaps an "I" at the beginning of my sentence would have been more clear. I don't know the back story. I have no interest in looking up any back story, nor do I feel it is any of my business. That said, I don't feel that it was necessary for Fran to be so condescending in his response. I see a top 100 kid decommit from a high profile school my first assumption is that he's looking to go to another high profile school, not come here. Unless you're saying you talked to me at the game? In which case I don't believe we've met. No lol I was referring to Fran, we talked about it yesterday. With Noskowiak it's all about risk and reward. By the way my family has dealt with people who have similar issues, I would give him a chance and try to help him through the issues. I understand that it's because he's a great basketball player, so it's kind of like Nick Nolte as Pete Bell answering 'No' when Shaquille O'Neal/Neon Boudeaux asks the question, 'would you be helping me with my SAT if I didn't play basketball?' So, in my own experience, I'd say let's do it.

I hear what you're saying, Jimmy, but the school on Wells Street is far more desperate for a point guard than we are, and they bounced him, despite their "whole person" philosophy. It's not that I'm against helping any kid -- it's that I'm against hurting the 15 guys already on my team by taking the chance and losing the bet. You owe that to the guys who have worked so hard already.
Like I said, some high major with a coach looking over his shoulder at demanding fans will probably take the risk. If not, I'd want to see him go to Juco for a year at least to prove he's got things worked out. JMHO.

Duane Wilson is no point guard. Read what the MU fans and coaches say. And don't make foolish assumptions about my intentions. I was stating a fact. MU decided it could not take the risk with NN. Why should we?

How is it a fact when it is based on your opinion?

Noskowiak is the one who asked for release from his LOI, so any appraisal of his behavior is disrespectful in the context of the situation. Either he's depressed or has an abusive father; either way it has no bearing on his character. Marquette did not decide he was "a risk."

Would any of you fellows be interested in a nice bridge? Really, I own the title -- I'll show it to you. It's a screaming deal.

Apart from the personal considerations, the fact of the matter is that we do have quite a few guards in the fold for the foreseeable future: Akeem, Jordan, JayQuon, J.R., Justin, Cody, Brock, Derek ... That's a lot.

Iowa St. per Goodman.
I've heard Hoiberg to the Bulls which is why they brought Otzelberger back to end up as the head coach. We'll see.

I hope he ends up on some team. A teenage kid with his problems needs to be in a supportive environment like a basketball team.
We know our kids, we know our coaches. Maybe it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for him.
