The schedule is beyond terrible in terms of days, dates and times, the team is deficient with its most talented player redshirting and the pall of the Arena threat has been hanging over the entire program. But you know what? Every time I go to the games I have a blast. I can't wait for the next one.

part f that is timing, and part of it is the team hasnt been very good this year. Why is home attendance brought up on the Oakland thread and not the Wright State thread. Just kind'va random thought.

As to the schedule, the AD's sign off on it. My question is why did they do that.
Why is Milwaukee playing a non-tv game on a Monday night at Valpo. Why is GB always in Milwaukee in January. Why is Milwaukee at GB on a Thursday night. What happen to the Thur/Sat schedule. Do more Friday's.

Most of my focus, meanwhile, is on what the university and its supporters can do to save the Arena.

As for the TV situation, I haven't commented because for the most part it doesn't apply to me. But I miss the Fox Sports Net games with Eric Collins or Josh Lewin and David Kaplan.

I really miss Dave Kaplan doing Horizon games. He knew and respected the league.
mupanther, I gather that you are complaining about the HL's scheduling, and I agree. If this is the best the HL can come up with -- even with the problems caused by having only 9 teams -- then the ADs need to do something, because it's not good enough. I bet every team in the league is sick about the schedule.
By the way, getting back to Oakland, I had been happy that we wouldn't have to face Keifer Sykes after this year. Apparently Greg Kampe is a mad scientist when he's not coaching, because he has obviously cloned Keifer and named the clone Kahlil Felder.

The league schedule is one point -- maybe the only point -- on which Green Bay, Milwaukee and Valpo fans can all agree.
Pure and simple, it's atrocious!

This year's league schedule is an abomination. Seems like they've done everything they could to drive down attendance. Gone in the annals of UWM Post history was an article where myself and another writer (John Parker maybe?) put together a sample schedule which made sure that every team had no more than one conference home game during break. It sounds ridiculous but it's possible, since schools like Valpo start early in the calendar. It might not be viable anymore - as I remember Loyola started second week of January and Wright State has since left the trimester system for a more traditional semester system - but it was literally a couple college kids in the union taking a couple of days to make sure everyone had the majority of Horizon League home games while kids were in session, and no teams played rivals during break.
