Everyone knows that we need an infusion of energy. Give us Trenton Marshall, Leek Leek and Tyrone Young. Charlie Swiggett can jump out of the gym.

Hard to believe, but this year's team could be worse than the 2006–07 season.
I haven't been to a live game since 2006. I haven't found a reason to go.

I haven't been to a live game since 2006. I haven't found a reason to go. That's unfortunate. Regardless of how poorly the team may have played at times during this stretch, there have been some great games played over the last 7 years. Hopefully you'll reconsider one of these days and come back.

5-9 going into conference season is disappointing and unacceptable. However, it is what it is. Now it's time to see if all that "We still have a championship to play for" talk was real or b.s. If we get smoked by Cleveland State by 20+ on Friday like these last 2 games, you'll be hard pressed to convince me it wasn't b.s.
The underlying problem is that the shot selection of this team is horrible, outside of Matt Tiby, who has been back to his 2013-14 level of play as of late. He can't do it all himself, though.

The fans may believe that there is much for which to play, but what ultimately matters is whether or not the players believe it.

Tiby's jump shooting, believe it or not, hurts. We need him banging down low, drawing fouls and getting to the line. 15 points with 8-of-10 free throw shooting is a lot more effective than 3-for-5 from three and 15 points.

Completely agree...and he's not the only one. More of our bigs need to be banging down low, making layups and getting to the foul line instead of sitting outside the three-point line. Putting big men outside the three-point line only works when you have players that can consistently make them...and we don't. For all the people who complain about the officiating because of the disparity in free throw attempts, it is not the officiating but rather all our people sitting outside the three-point line. If I were the opposing team, I wouldn't foul us either knowing we are not a good shooting team. Take it to the hole!

Maybe I haven't seen enough of the team this year, but it seems to me that 15 points and 14 rebounds are, well, 15 points and 14 rebounds.
What this team throughout the season has appeared to lack is an athletic small forward who's a threat to score from distance.
There's talent here but the parts mostly seem to be misfit, incomplete, wearing down or not assembled.

When you have a 6'10" guy on your team who is averaging less than 4 (4!!!!) rebounds a game for his career IN HIS THIRD YEAR! and insists upon standing out at the 3 point line clanking with his 25.5% career 3pt average, don't give me any static about Tiby's post play. He's not the "Anthony Hill" on this team. That's supposed to be the tallest guy's job, and that particular individual apparently still doesn't embrace it. The worst part is that when JJ does decide to play the post, he's very good at it. If he did it all the time, the whole dynamic of the team would dramatically improve. He just hasn't dedicated himself to it, for whatever reason. Tiby is producing. It shouldn't matter where on the floor his production comes from, as ghostofdylan said.

In essence, we have a 6-11 kid who selects shots like he's 6-3. If you're going to take those shots half of the time, you had better make more than 25 percent.
