Was able to watch fin ESPN3. Really impressed with the team and the coaches today. As usual some of our fans got quasi-suicidal after the UW result. The players and coaches, on the other hand, obviously learned some great lessons in that game and applied them tonight. I thought our team was as unselfish offensively as I have seen all year. We passed up many good shots for better shots. Moreover our players are working at what they do best and what can help the team the most. for example, JJ made several strong low post moves and took only one three point shot. Rob often tightens the rotation at this point before conference play begins and I think we are starting to see that. I'm very excited for this team's prospects as we move forward.

Considering Tiby and Panoske both scored at least 3 times what Wichmann did, I dunno about that one. It's good though that with Cody and Akeem we can send out a "small" lineup without sacrificing length and strength.

Awesome game tonight! Please baby jesus please let us do it again on Saturday in the suburbs of St. Louis.
Montana is a good team, and may actually end up being a quality win. They lost by just 2 points at PAC-12 Cal (8-1, RPI 88), and played Davidson (6-1, RPI 69) of the A-10 very tough, losing 110-99.
Milwaukee continuing to perform like this could for sure have the Panthers 5-7 (I don't count non-DI games, and neither should you) going into conference play, and maybe even 6-6 if they can put together a complete game @arkansas on national TV. I know it seems like forever ago, but Milwaukee was up by 12 points through 3/4ths of the game @auburn, before collapsing late. Arkansas may be better than Auburn, but the environment will be MUCH LESS hostile in Fayetteville than it was @auburn for Bruce's return to coaching.
As for those mentioning the attendance, my estimate is between 500-700 butts in the seats, about half the size of the smallest crowds at Panther Arena this year. After several K.C. attendance debacles just like this one in the past several years, I'd say it's clear the fanbase has spoken, and those in power (ahem COACHES) need to stop considering the K as an option for men's games. I know several die-hard Panther fans that travel across the country to watch the team who make it a point to boycott this game, every year. And clearly many, many hundreds of other season ticket holders are boycotting as well, since there is seemingly no other way for them to voice their opinion on this issue.
With that being established, why continue to be so obstinate by holding games at the K.C. when what little is left of your season ticket base is sending you a crystal clear message? Can the powers that be REALLY have their heads buried that far into the ground? The fact that the Panther Arena was booked for graduation is no excuse either, as they obviously knew that would be the case prior to scheduling this game. Oh yeah, and how about that student section of ZERO?
Listed attendance was 1,781. It's a very strong possibility that this was the smallest official attendance for a regular season home game since the Ric Cobb era of the late 1990's... Mr. DKelly?

The coaches are considering playing our men's basketball games at the K? That's news to them.
"Hey young man, we would like to show you our cramped, insufficient 70s era lousy, stinking hell hole. This is where we play our games!
"Pick us over Northern Iowa, Evansville, Loyola, Wright State or anywhere else they have a halfway-decent Division 1 facility!"
In reality, the coaches understand that a move back to the K would mean a death knell for the program. At least, that is, a death knell for our Division 1 program.
Rather, the venue for this game was forced by the combination of graduation and Montana's need to play it on this date. Nothing else.
This was not an experiment like the Western Michigan throwback game a few years ago or Andy Geiger's ill-fated decision in 2012.

SRT, dr is absolutely right. The coaches are all-in on the Arena. The whole program is. This game was played at the KC by absolute necessity. It is extraordinarily difficult for one midmajor to get another midmajor to agree to a home and home. We couldn't turn down the offer or change the date. We get a good trip out of it next year.
Anyway, great win.

Mr. DKelly? 2/7/13 versus Detroit 1,590 Very sad for me to see it, but the 500 to 700 butts in the seats have been in about two other games at UWM Panther Arena this year already. This game had to be played at the KC, since graduation was going on at the arena.

I believe that Detroit game was during quite a snow storm which is the worst possible scenario for any game at the K. The area around campus was just terrible to drive.
To echo everyone's sentiment on playing at the K, my group of 4 ticket holders are willing to fly across the country to watch games in Vegas but will not step 1 foot in the Klotsche for a game.

I made it to the Detroit game, but keep in mind every attendance numbers are paid numbers, so that game if the weather would've been nice wouldn't bring 500 walk-up crowd to get over 2,000.

Let's all pray that today Mone is bypassed as chancellor. He likes the idea of Bucks logos, practice nets, side entrances, cramped seating and 6 a.m. wakeups.
