For what its worth our sweet-sixteen team was blown out almost as badly by an unranked UW team. This game certainly does not make or break our season. No, but it does once again break the perception of our program for the year.

No, but it does once again break the perception of our program for the year. Perception? You lost at home to IUPUI. You won by just 5 against a D2 team at home. Your 288th in RPI. You went 10-22 in conference play the last 2 years. Your problem is with reality, not perception. The reality is you still need a new coach, and I think many of the Panther faithful support this, including yourself. This game simply re-inforces what many already knew. You deserve better.

Well, I think the conference commissioner sees us as a one-bid league, so I don't see why the members would view themselves as anything else. The HL was very close to getting 2 bids a year ago. Green Bay was one of the last 4 out. Had Green Bay closed out their game against Wisconsin a year ago, they'd have gotten an at-large bid, making the HL a 2 bid league. If Green Bay doesn't win the conference tournament this year, the HL will likely get 2 bids. It's the middle of December and the Phoenix still are the nations #1 in RPI. Even if the Phoenix lose 6 games on the season they project to be top 40 in RPI (according to RPI Forecast), that's historically an at-large birth. Can they do it? Green Bay has just 8 true road games remaining with 22 games to play. GB didn't lose a game to a sub-150 RPI team a year ago, now half of Green Bays HL competition is sub-200 RPI teams. That's a very favorable schedule to produce long winning streaks. The HL desperately needs a team to get a winnable seed in the big dance, and to capitalize on it to stay relevant. Things are setting up for this to be the year.

You are banking alot on them not crapping the bed again. -zing- but you could see that happen, but it takes a great run and close loss in the Tournament Finals.

I've seen the real Horizon League Champion trophy. You just have the goofy tournament trophy. Anyway, nice attempt to draw attention away from what's really going on. Care to comment on the HL having a chance at an at-large bid, since you brought the subject up? Or on your present state of affairs?

A 31 point loss to Georgia St. might pose a problem as well as a few conference losses that will happen. you guys aren't the undefeated Butler team of years past.

Still not sure why the Panthers are GBBB's main focus this year. Does he realize that Valpo, Wright State and Cleveland State should be the teams he is worried about? Sure... we're going to beat GB during the two regular season games - that much is a given. But it's unfortunate that they won't have a chance to choke in the HL tournament against us. It's going to be one of those three teams.
So instead of trolling our board with your delusional opinion of GB being the greatest team in the world... you may want to focus on them. They are going to be the ones keeping you out of the big dance this year... not us.
Side Note: His posts are still hidden from me, but apparently if someone quotes him in a post I have to read his nonsense.
EDIT: Looks like we can add Detroit to that list too. Juwan Howard Jr > Keifer Sykes

History would indicate that UIC will be the team that stuns GB in the league tournament this year, as laughable as it might seem.

History would indicate that UIC will be the team that stuns GB in the league tournament this year, as laughable as it might seem. Stuns? The only stunning thing would be GB NOT choking in the HLT. It's what they do. If it ever didn't happen they would celebrate so hard their coach would leave for a better job.
