Tiby at the least was tremendous, and hopefully this game gets his year turned around.

This game is good for the state, right? Freak, it was especially heartwarming to watch Rob and Bo exchange pleasantries for 5 minutes after we got our teeth kicked in for 2 hours. After all, this game is just for fun!

This felt like the Marquette game from 2007 all over again. Except for this one we were "at home." This series needs to end. It's one of the many, many changes I would make to every element of our program's long term planning, which is in every way, from offices to scheduling to gameday experience, more like a D2 team than D1. It's a shame we stopped the UNI series; it was productive for both teams and evenly split, and it would have been much nicer to have faced #23 Northern Iowa than to face a likely Final Four team. And probably less demoralizing for the players. I know many of us love the Mecca, but if our choices on any given day are either a 60% empty arena or an arena in which the only opportunity for a sellout is when other fans greatly outclass us, I would at this point rather strike a deal with the Bucks to have them construct us a 6,000-seater on McKinley or on campus or wherever than continue to waste our money on the Mecca long-term. As I remarked to a jerk Bucky fan tonight, the only arena that gets quieter than ours is the Kohl. Gameday needs to be better inside the arena and out. No more of this crap where the band and the PA push and shove one another to see who gets to play music. The hosts are a nice touch, but there need to be more student employees out there interacting and engaging with fans throughout the building. The atrium needs to be flooded in yellow light and cheerleaders should be pumping up the crowd as they filter through the doors. The students should be on the same page and engaged, and there should be pregame pep rallies to generate interest every single gameday with both Jeter and Braun in attendance. The single greatest reason alumni don't care about our team is because they're not invited to care as students. Jimmy should not have to spend half his time in the student section riling those kids up. No more Bob Brainerd. Get him as far away from a microphone as possible. He announces games like he's talking to his buds at the bar in Fond Du Lac. Our marketing is nonsense. The last time the Badgers played in Milwaukee it was 50/50 and our fans were easily louder than theirs. Tonight among ticketholders I guarantee it was 70/30 red and the only people buying tickets at the door were UW fans. There's no excuse for that coming off an NCAA Tournament appearance. I shudder to think what the ratio of UWGB fans will be this year. I could run our social media better than what's there now. Any of us could, really. Our community outreach is terrible and our media presence is nonexistant. We clapped ourselves on the back for putting our name on the arena, but it will likely buy us nothing because most of the city wants to tear the thing down regardless of whether it's a billboard for the university or whatever.

The t-shirt cannon is a nice touch though.

That was one sad exhibition of basketball. I'm beginning to wonder if we want to keep playing these guys and getting blown out. Any traction we got from making the Big Dance last year was totally wiped away tonight. We used to at least be somewhat competitive in this game. That wasn't the case tonight. The money we get from it is good, but are we costing ourselves more in the long run by getting smoked and turning off fans?
Yes UW is a top 5 team and yes they looked the part tonight but we made some pretty passes, our shot selection sucked more often that not and our defense was almost non-existent. UW Whitewater would've given them a better game.
I can't even think of a silver lining although a friend said, "Hopefully this brings us closer to getting rid of Jeter."

Has jeter ever beaten a ranked nonconference opponent? Never! Why would this game be any different with the current regime?
