Can we get some knick nacks and such, misc. panther gear at the permanent store? Its a start with just a couple shirts and such, but I'm much more likely to buy random stuff I dont have already. Just a suggestion.

Just a suggestion. They only just put it together a little while ago. I'd send suggestions to the athletic department, and they can bring them to whoever runs the store.

Saw the store for the first time last night. I like the permanent structure of it. I dislike the fact that there's a ton of "UWM" stuff in there, more than "Milwaukee."
Say what you want about the university name, but the athletics program is pretty obviously branded Milwaukee.
We need to learn branding the way UW did a long time ago. "UW-Madison" or the "University of Wisconsin-Madison" never, ever, ever, ever appear on any athletically branded clothing. I'm racking my brains but I don't even believe I remember seeing UW on any athletic apparel.
It's always Wisconsin. That's not to say there isn't anything that carries academic branding - it just doesn't carry academic branding AND athletic branding. Bucky Badger doesn't appear on any UW-Madison branded stuff. Often the logo they use for academic branding is that ornate W.
This university does not get that. It's partly because we're new to branding (really I just think they don't give a sh*t), but also it's because UWM is still an acceptable reference to the athletics program.
So what happens is a bunch of academic or academic/athletic hybrid clothing. It looks chintzy, because it's not just a name thing - Milwaukee's athletic brand carries different fonts, marks and overall look than does the university's academic brand. When they're put together, they clash and just look god-awful.

Tons of wasted unused space. Need more stuff! There was more last night compared to the last home game.

Btw, Anthony is back in town at least temporarily and was at the NKU game. Great to see him. Saw Ricky at the WSU game. Always great to see the guys come back.

Business Journal posted this article today. Sounds like Harris is going stick some dollars into the arena. He's got some neat ideas. Hopefully everything works out.
Milwaukee Admirals owner Harris Turer says he is willing to invest — without a financial return — in making the UW-Milwaukee Panther arena facilities “great again” if his team can negotiate a lease to move there from the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
Turer, in an interview with the Milwaukee Business Journal, said he won’t know the dollar figure he would invest until he receives more information on capital projects planned by Panther Arena owner Wisconsin Center District.
District officials previously indicated they know that a new locker room will be necessary if the Admirals lease the Panther Arena, 400 W. Kilbourn Ave. Turer said his American Hockey League team will need assurances of that and more before agreeing to a deal for the 65-year-old publicly owned venue.
“Am I looking to do something? I am certainly willing to step up and support changes and improve the building,” Turer said. “What that will be remains to be seen.”
A spokesman for Wisconsin Center District board chairman Scott Neitzel declined to comment. James Dick, a spokesman for the Wisconsin Department of Administration where Neitzel is secretary, said the department does not comment on negotiations.
Turer said in a Tuesday interview with the Business Journal that he and Wisconsin Center District officials are “not even close” to finalizing a lease.
The Admirals need a new home rink because they are not likely to be a tenant in the new Milwaukee Bucks arena. The Admirals’ long-time home — the BMO Harris Bradley Center — will be demolished after the new Bucks arena is completed, which is scheduled for summer or fall of 2018.
Besides adding a locker room, the basic improvements needed for the Admirals at the Panther Arena would include new boards and windows around the rink and new netting to protect fans, Turer said Wednesday.
Once Turer knows details of the Wisconsin Center District’s plans, he will decide how much to invest and what to invest in, he said.
“I want to be able to know they’re going to make efforts to make the building great again,” Turer said.
Turer wants to see upgrades in the look and in the offerings at concession stands. He also wants to improve the appearance and appeal of the main lobby off Kilbourn Avenue and other public areas.
“My feeling is we will be able to do some really nice things to make the building really nice again,” Turer said.
The Panther Arena — previously known as the Milwaukee Arena and then the U.S. Cellular Arena — never was all that fancy of a place. The appearance inside and out is pretty utilitarian but the public areas are well maintained.
The Wisconsin Center District made two notable improvements after UWM signed a 10-year, $3.4 million naming rights agreement for the arena in June 2014. The district spent $1.1 million in 2014 on a new digital scoreboard and video screen and embarked on replacing all of the arena’s 9,000 permanent seats over three years.
One idea of Turer’s would be to hang photos of the building's historic moments, including the Beatles concert in 1964, the Bucks and Marquette University championship seasons and UWM basketball Horizon League championships.
“We could add some wall art and add flavor from the great moments in that building,” Turer said.
Turer said he plans to meet with UWM representatives to discuss his ideas.

Love this. Really hope they also plan to put in a party deck of some kind and some suites. That way it would always look like a much more full arena.

In case you ever wondered if important people read this board, Turer's ideas include this one, which has been brought up, I dunno, at least 10-15 times over the years by any number of us. I couldn't tell you how many people are begging for the history of the building to be shown.
JFK and Queen would also be great photos.

Would not be in favor of any MU pictures unless they pay -- big -- for the privilege. That's the same folks who wanted to tear our Arena down. Would the Bucks let them put pictures up in their new palace? If so, fine, put them up there, not in our house. If not, why the hell should we? Although I would be happy to see a nice picture of Dwight Clay launching his shot from the corner. I was there in person to see that one.
