Unlike so many others, this guy appears to have done some research.
I wonder where he'll put the Panthers.

bahahaha...i was thinking 4, but i'll probably go with 5...i like to deal in certainties and Detroit just didn't lose much compared to everyone else

Hmmm. Green Bay, Cleveland State, Wright State and Detroit?
I just don't see anything being a given outside of Green Bay in the top 2 or 3 ... and UIC and Youngstown State at the bottom.

Valpo for WSU, i think Peters definitely has the talent & demeanor to be an absolute star
WSU is a wildcard...lost too much for me to feel comfortable ranking them too high
and i totally agree! i have Oakland 7th, but if a couple freshmen step up and they knock off a couple teams in their ridiculous stretch right before conference play, i could see them going on a run and instantly turning the league on its head

Valpo without LaVonte Dority, Lexus Williams -- its starting backcourt -- and the big guys?
I don't know about that one.
And Alec Peters is a nice player, but do you like him more than, say, Austin Arians?

yeah, i came up with the order right around the time Williams got hurt
For the time being, yes. Peters showed he wanted to be the guy early on, but seemed to run out of gas by the end of the year. With a full season and offseason under his belt, I expect him to be able to keep his play up through the whole year.
Arians was the only guy who didn't crumble against the Badgers and tied his second highest scoring night of the season against Villanova (while shooting better than his season average from 3) but was really only there for a reliable 10-12 ppg the rest of the season
I'd like to see the guy who beat Nova to double digits show up more consistently before I'm confident he'll make a big jump

People -- and Parker's not alone -- are certainly a lot higher on Alec (12.7 points, 4.8 rebounds) than they are on Austin (11.1 points, 3.5 rebounds).
Not dissing Alec in the least, but the difference seems pretty minimal.
Yet by one projection, Alec will be first - team all-league and Austin won't even be third-team.
For the record, that seems pretty ridiculous.

A big part of it is that Peters was a freshman. His numbers were a hell of a lot better before he hit the wall. I expect him to be a little more consistent, and to perform better near the end of the season this year
With that said, Arians will see his numbers increase almost by default. If Milwaukee is going to defy most predictions and finish in the mid/upper portion of the table, he'll be on an all-league team (as I'll be predicting in my wrap-up)

One thing on these previews: the season may not end on Feb. 28. We could still schedule a game or two after YSU (and probably will.)
