Panthers dropped a tough one to Wright State this afternoon 10-4, but then recovered to eliminate Valpo in the night cap 14-2 after scoring 13 unanswered runs!
Milwaukee plays the loser of the UIC-Wright State semifinal match up at 4 pm tomorrow afternoon in another elimination game (which every game from here on out is for the Panthers).

Well, the Panthers survived for another day and registered their 37th victory, second-most in program history behind 2001 (39).
So if they are fortunate enough to win the league tournament title, they will own the single-season record for wins.
Every remaining game is now do-or-die.

The Panthers rallied to knock off #1 seed and regular season conference champions UIC 5-4 in 12 innings.
Milwaukee will take on Wright State at noon. The Panthers need to defeat the Raiders twice in order to win the tournament title. Time to exercise some Wright State demons.

Derick, let's exorcise those demons and work them out until they drop!
With the win today, the Panthers now have won 38 games, the eighth-most single-season wins in league history. The record is 43 by Wright State in 1989.
The team needs two more wins for the single-season program record. Let's go, Milwaukee!

With 39 victories, the Panthers have now tied the single-season program record set in 2001.
Furthermore, they presently are tied for the fourth-most single-season wins of all league members.
The top three seasons are all held by Wright State.
Go Milwaukee!!!!

Wright State won the 2nd game 17-4. Tough end to a good season for Milwaukee. The Panthers end their season with a record of 39-20.
Gotta figure out how to knock off that program problem that is Wright State. Hopefully the facility in Oak Creek gets through. The new field turf at the Hank will definitely help practice wise also.

On a brighter note. It sure now looks like based on article in Milwaukee Business Journal that bright days ahead for the only D -1 baseball program in the state. Franklin passed subject to some caveats approval of the new complex. This will take our baseball program to a whole new level for both recruiting, local buzz and fan experience. This has the potential to be a very cool thing and great pub for us.

The 2016 Horizon League Baseball Championship will run from Wednesday, May 25, through Saturday, May 28. The doubleheader opens with fifth-seed Oakland (11-14) facing fourth-seed UIC (15-12) at 11 a.m. CST. The second game, which begins at 3 p.m. CST, pits sixth-seed Northern Kentucky (9-12) against third-seed Valparaiso (17-12).
The losing teams on Wednesday are eliminated from the tournament, while the winning teams advance to Thursday where it will take two losses for a team to be eliminated.
