There was a PG from Michigan there who is supposedly just the shiznit. I got the chance to meet "Coach Brew". For once, I feel like if we can keep the staff, we might be headed in the right direction.

Thanks. I know most of us are more interested in the men's team but I've been to the women's games and they are just exciting as the men's are. They are scrappers, they play hard and they have an excellent coach in Sandy. Most of all they're fun to watch.

Yeah - I just think the women also deserve fans and interest and totally realize it won't mirror the men with # of butts in the seats and will never pretend it should - and I am definitely a fan of the guys too and get downtown a lot to see them
The PG from Michigan is awesome - I got to see a little of the camp, but didn't meet Coach Brewster- I think the MI kid is the one that verballed -
I think the current staff will be around awhile - which will be nice for Sandy

I agree newbee. I think both programs are on the rise. I am just curious as to who is going to step up and fill the shoes of Molly and Nicole. Both were phoenomenal players for UWM, and their heart and guts for the game will be missed

You are right on, especially with Molly - McCain/Markert will fill Drummond's shoes, but unless Calloway really has a great frosh. campaign, replacing Molly will be really difficult. I think the McClain kid from Ohio will be the newcomer that makes the most impact

I agree...the thing that worries me with Calloway is her knee injury. Sometimes athletes get timid after injuries...look at Drummond...she was timid for the first part of the season after her injury. Let's hope these ladies come out swinging!

I think it'd be great to run a Fan Forum promo for one of the women's game. Set up some refreshments, get out some name tags so we can see the person behind the screen name etc. Bet we could even get a discount of tix.
I'd be willing to help organize it.

Cool idea - I saw the flier with home games against Marquette and Air Force this coming season - besides the obvious HL biggies like Butler and UWGB

I think with some extra help from Coach Brew, Traci Edwards is going to be even more of a beast than she was last year. I am looking forward to this season. Honestly, I have always been a fan, but never would have said that.

If Traci's improvement is noticeable over last year, watch out. She might kick some major ass.
