Nothing like having this story plastered at the top of JSOnline. What a great advertisement! Did they at least list us as Milwaukee?

I can see and hear it now ... "Ladies and gentlemen, this is what happens when you ban us!" -- Matt Tiby after helping Milwaukee win the national championship in April, 2016 . Yessssssss. My delusions are back intact. Lol. I hope we can use next season to build and not lose too many players/recruits. Lyle, Tiby, Panoske, Wichmann, Prahl, White, Springs, new or looming recruits, etc. In all seriousness, this sucks. This sucks reeeeeeeeeeally bad. I feel bad for McWhorter (can he redshirt next season??). I feel bad for Evan too, but he seemed to regress huge-time from what started out like a promising SG Panther career from him.. Welp. It was a helluva a run. Leave it to us to turn lemonade into lemons.... If we are seriously just a single 1pt below the needed APR 4-yr rolling average, how is that fair? Can't we sneak a point from North Carolina's diploma/grade mill? I guess we should have all of our players major in Phys-Ed (and no offense to Phy-Ed majors just trying to make sense of what the uff is happening)... I know this isn't Harvard. But this.... this is a bit much for any of us to stomach... It's gonna take a while.... GO PANTHERS..... uggh. Remember the UConn bounce-back...!?? I don't want to be compared to UConn though.. I can't wait until we are back on solid ground and post-season eligible. THIS. SUCKS.

In all seriousness. I know I'm wishful thinking here but is there anything in jeters contract saying that the buyout is taken away if we have a postseason ban?

Maybe we should stop trying to do things "the right way" and just do whatever it takes. The two things I've learned from all the architecture comps I've done is; play to your judges, and rules are merely loose guidelines meant to be broken so long as you can argue your way out.

I have a good friend who's a junior college coach.
Here's what he just texted me (reprinted with his permission):
"Oregon gave me money and free shoes. Houston gave me free hotel (stays). Texas Tech and Wichita State met with our guys during dead periods ... and Milwaukee gets penalized!"
Suck it, Emmert!

The FAQ on the uwmpanthers.com site says the Athletics Department expects the ban to last one year: they expect the academic performance this year to pull the APR back above the minimum.
In the meantime, we can still cheer for the other Milwaukee squads, as only Men's basketball is affected. And there has been plenty of success to cheer for.

I'll continue to cheer on all Milwaukee Panther squads. ALL of them. See you guys on April 24 as we pay tribute to our 2014 NCAA Tournament qualifiers!

For once even I am at a loss for words. Not sure who to blame for this. Sounds like they didn't have enough academic advisors, but the question is why and why did we recruit players who were so lame they couldn't stay in good standing

This program is a joke. Doesn't pay to get invested.

I couldn't be prouder of them if they were my own sons.

That said, perhaps we should have gone the UNC route. Apparently there's nothing but Rhodes Scholars there.
