Have no problem with it as I don't cheer for either UW or MU. What annoys me is the #ItsJustus as it is kind of a slap in the face to the season ticket holders who do go to every game, takes road trips, etc.

When I first heard it I thought it was just a team thing until one of the players pointed out it means every one who was able to be there and was there all the way. Also those who aren't but still live and die with the team when they can. Sent from my SCH-R970 using proboards

I think it's great that Matt's worked up about this. We need him to keep going with that message next year in September and October with our students to remind them then that there is a college basketball fan experience available to them right here, and a team that has proved worthy of their attention. That said, as a proud alum of both schools, and as a fan of both programs since well before many of you were born, I personally can very enthusiastically say "ON WISCONSIN!" This has been a pretty special March for me.

This seems like as good of a place as any to post this.
So, I'm torn about this Saturday.
First off, every team I've been rooting for in the tournament has lost. If not in the R64 round, then in the R32 round.
Then I jumped on the Dayton bandwagon, and they lost.
That brings us to this Saturday. Wisconsin and Kentucky of course. (I was hoping for this game to be Creighton and Wichita State.)
I do not like Calipari at all. I don't want to see him win again. The only Badger sport I follow is their hockey team.
What to do? Not watch?
Wondering what the rest of the true "Milwaukee only" (for in-state teams) fans are doing.
(I didn't mean anything directed towards BBFran. He attended both schools. Much different than the average jerk on the street who never went anywhere after high school, yet only roots for Marquette or Madison.)

John Calipari may be the only graduate of Clarion State teacher's college to be a head coach of a major (let alone NBA) program. He bounced back from his firing (unjust?) with the Nets to win a National Championship. Saw his first UMASS team. Seemed to interact well with people who remembered him from his HS days at West Allegheny (close to the Pittsburgh Airport [maybe it's something in the water, but graduates of the neighboring HS {Ft. Cherry} such as Marty Shottenheimer and Marvin Lewis have done OK coaching in the NFL.]) Calipari didn't act like he was better than anyone. Of course, people on this web site have to be bashing someone, except of course if it's Gary Waters.

We can consider Wisconsin our rival when we actually beat them.

I didn't mean to hyjack this thread. Won't comment any further on my conundrum.
So back on topic...
Love that Tiby posted those comments for all to see.
Hope many current students and alumni read them and take them to heart.
EDIT: Since I don't like any of the teams left, decided I'm just going to watch these three remaining games as an impartial observer and hope they are good games.
