sounds like Cords is going to be staying on as AD at Marquette for at least another year Damn I was hoping Lovell would be able to pull the Geiger trick again. Marquette would be playing all of their games at the Al McGuire Center. Haha

Folks, don't be naive. Take a good, hard read at this morning's article. Lovell's departure is precisely the event that, if not handled to near perfection, could result in a significant downturn for the university, and in turn, athletics. This is very, very serious stuff. Business leaders recognize it. We should too.

Money talks at the collegiate level, and this university is integral to the future of the region.

Hence, we MUST get rid of the so called current A.D since she hasn't or can't raise a dime and there are monks in Tibet with better sales & marketing skills. Seriously!!! Hard to take you seriously when no one knows who you are. Everybody knows who I am, why don't you step out from behind the curtain? I'm not saying you're wrong or right. I'm saying this culture we have at this school perpetuates by continuing to badmouth each other in private. Sunshine is the best disinfectant. Sent from my SCH-R970 using proboards

Hard to take me seriously?? Trust me ... I know more than 99.9% of this site. Now she, the so-called A.D. is getting rid of O'Connor! The best SID in the league, 14 years of loyal great service. She is incompetent, evil and in over her head. Nothing else needs to be said. What she going to do now since she has alienated virtually every sponsor and does not have Lovell to run to? Wait jigga what? I remember hearing years ago that Lecrone had told Koonce to get rid of Kevin and Koonce said no. Sent from my SCH-R970 using proboards

Bluntly, this is the kind of crap a moderator should step in to remove. It's anonymous character assassination, plain and simple. There's a 1000 to 1 probability that whoever is hiding behind this name has a personal axe to grind.
As Jimmy said, if the poster is unwilling to reveal him or herself, then the message has zero credibility.

Great article. Thanks for posting. The article is especially beneficial for those of us who are not as familiar with the university, as some of you are.

Great article. Thanks for posting. The article is especially beneficial for those of us who are not as familiar with the university, as some of you are. I enjoyed it too. It gave me a lot more insight into the academic side of UWMs fight for funding and its struggles. Really cool to see so many professors and people at UWM who are willing to put their neck out to say what needs to be said and fight for the university. If only the entirety of the school would work together to achieve their mutual goals instead of fighting on two different fronts. I really hope that the new chancellor will care as much as his staff do and fights like Lovell has.

The only "evidence" we have are the postings of an anonymous, one-trick pony poster with an axe to grind.
You will have to pardon our skepticism.

Are you people all idiots like the Athletic Director. She is a undermining ......!! She wanted Jeter out until this late run. She hasn't raised A DIME ! She now removes the best SID in the league. She's worse than any A.D. this school has ever had, and there have been some bad ones since Bud left. You dopes, don't be so naive. She is destroying what could be special. Ask the corporate sponsors that want NOTHING to do with her! Please, I beg you all so called Panthers fans and experts, she is a terrible mistake. I am not a blog person, never will be, I am only here because she is a damn joke, and wrong for this institution that I love. O'Conner is out, for no reason other than she doesn't know what the hell she is doing and wants him out. She wanted Jeter out, until this magical run. Don't be blind. God .... it, wake up and realize what a freaking mistake Braun is !!!! Kevin O'Conner is out?

Been a reader for a while. Great site. Thanks for the passion. I have jumped into the fray to make mention that Kevin O'Connor is a a classy, talented, well-rounded guy who will be sorely missed. Having dealt with him on so many levels, tickets, sponsorship, charity and events, I can tell you there are few as equipped to handle his position as well as do the work of many others when they may fall short. He helped to spearhead and maintain one of the finest and financially strongest TV deals of any mid-major program in the country. The very best in the league at his job and a gentleman to deal with.
