Goetz was also in sports illustrated a few issues ago talking about him being one of the top hitters in D-1

I've seen Goetz live and in person. I don't know nearly enough about baseball to determine whether or not he can make it to the big leagues one day, but he is fun to watch. He jumps on the ball, and has a high average for someone who doesn't work the count. If you get a chance to see a game this season, it is worth your time. UWM baseball is a good time, and Goetz is worth watching.

I think he could easily get a spot on a minor league team, if not the majors. There's AAA, AA, Single-A, Short-A and Rookie Leagues and almost all (if not all) teams have two or more Single-A affiliates. (West Virginia Power and Brevard County Manatees for the Crew). BTW- how the f--k did Beloit become a Twins affiliate? Anyway, if Jordan can jump right in and make it to AA, Goetz definetly stands a chance.

Rarely do people other than Michael Jordan start any other place then summer ball, or Rookie Ball. For example, this would be a team like the Helena Brewers, which how many of you even knew existed? Also the Snappers became the Minnesota affiliate in 05 I believe.

The Beloit facilities suck and the Brewers braintrust wanted to get the young arms pitching in warmer weather. The WV Power built a new park just in time to be the new low-A affiliate in the sally league.

He will play pro-ball. My cousin played with him at MATC and says that he has all the tools to contend for a Major League spot someday. Of course, it'll all depend on how he does when he gets drafted.
As much as I hate that Beloit isn't part of the Brewers system anymore... I think moving the low A squad to West Virginia was a good move because the league is more competitive and the weather is much more tolerable on young arms.
