Did anyone see the end of regulation in the Oakland/YSU game?
Weird final play and it seems the refs knew it was coming ahead of time.
Good coaching I suppose.

1st Round Attendance Oakland-2,283 Milwaukee-1,204 Valpo-1,099 Not surprising. I believe Valpo students are on spring break and 1st round HLT games never have great attendance. The Semi's and Finals are always the true moneymakers.

It's tough to make people pony up more for tickets, with about 3 days to do it. Seems like the smart thing would be to make it part of the season ticket package, and then if there isn't a game played apply it as a credit to the next year's package (or toward the semifinals game should your team be lucky enough to host). At least you guarantee that tickets are distributed into people's hands before you even know you have a home game. That at least gives you a fighting chance of have an average-sized crowd show up. Not like first-round tournament games are going to make any money anyway.

Yeah, because it makes sense.

That seems like too good of an idea. I willing to bet there is a good answer to why it's not done. Yeah, because it makes sense. I'm guessing is because they charge a base amount for season-tickets. The credit thing doesn't work well. Same reason why Packers fan didn't buy playoff tickets, they would've got a credit.

Same reason why Packers fan didn't buy playoff tickets, they would've got a credit. We're not talking about $600 worth of playoff tickets for two games here. We're talking about raising season ticket prices $5-10 to get you one additional game (should it be played). Outside the box thinking should be encouraged and explored at some point, especially from institutions of higher learning.
