Kent & UNM? c'mon guys...go for my trifecta and get talking to VCU too! g.o.d. i take it you're liking these multi-team events better than the ones last year? Yes, because they're not RPI killers like Jacksonville, Rider and Florida Atlantic, especially when you lose to them ... and you get some nice notoriety when you beat them.

Why don't we schedule like this in years we can make the tournament? That's a great question.

The schedule is quickly being pieced together. Multi-team event in Auburn, Ala.at Auburn vs. Houston (at Auburn) vs. third team (at Auburn) Multi-team event in Las Vegas (Orleans Arena)vs. Cincinnati or Kansas State vs. mid-major opponent AwayBradley DePaul Loyola Missouri (talks in progress) New Mexico (talks in progress) HomeWisconsin Kent State (talks in progress) UMKC IUPUI Northern Illinois You must of got more info than what Rob Jeter said to us. At times it was hard to hear as there was a great crowd at Joey Buona's. I guess charging $10 per person didn't hurt the crowd at all! It sounded like the trip to Auburn is part of the Las Vegas tourney. Plus, it didn't sound like Bradley, Loyola & Northern Illnois were done deals. After reading what you wrote it makes it more clear, in what Duffy was saying about the weekend in Auburn.

also...Kent at the cell would be awesome...even though they've been crap lately Down year just last season at 16-16 for Kent State. 21-14, 21-12, 25-12, 24-10 the season before that.

G.o.D - Do you know when that Vegas tournament is? Normally the Orleans has a tourney in November. I will definitely be going out there for that.

There is some mistaken information in this thread. Some things have simply not been set yet. Among the things noted above that may not be accurate are the location of the Houston game, the possible opponents in Las Vegas and the location of the Las Vegas event (I believe it will be at the MGM Grand, not the Orleans).
The Vegas tournament is not a signed deal yet although it looks very probable. Our games in Vegas would probably be on the Monday and Wednesday of Thanksgiving week.

We're going to pay Coach Pearl a visit. What's a 13 hour drive amongst friends? Bonding time, that's what!

Jeter said there was a change in the schedule to allow Wisconsin to play at the US Cellular Arena in 2014-15. Huge plus for the ticket office in efforts for season tickets and mini plan sales, as the postseason ban is a setback. I wonder what was the change in the UW/UWM series.

Hopefully we can match the atmosphere of the 2011 game vs. Wisconsin at The Cell. The pro-Panther energy was amazing that game.

Let's hope the Panthers could make their free-throws, they could've won.

This is great news. Bruce Pearl is still a friend of UWM basketball. I thought the same thing, but the game was scheduled before he became coach. Some of us who were in Buffalo found out that weekend but were told to remain mum. I suppose he didn't axe the game, since he signed off on it. As I understand it was one of his first things he did officially as coach. But the game came about because of a relationship the old coach had with one of our assistants.
