wow, gutsy prediction...Georgia State returned its entire starting 5 from a team that went 17-1 in conference; Louisiana lost a lottery pick Gutsy ... or just flat out foolish?

I could do without the non-D1 stuff but other than that this is a solid schedule.
It's the best I've seen in years.

Im trying to make a Vegas trip happen. Would be a nice week off leading to Thanksgiving, could be worthwhile.
Dont like the Concordia StPaul and whoever on 11/17, nor do I like a KC game...why are we playing there at all

You know what I like about this? There's no last season DePaul game. As in, there's no 4 games in 5 days. The closest we get is 3 games in 5 days that ends at Oklahoma State, but I suspect we'll kill on that one.
Las Vegas is a trip I'd like to make if I can wrangle the cash and off time. DePaul and Edwardsville are both reachable road games.
No one can complain there isn't enough heft on this schedule. Five high-majors? Two non-D-I's aren't going to bring anyone to the Arena, but it's easier for me to take since we're bringing Danny back to campus.
Funny...I count only two mid-majors on the schedule.
High-majors: 5 (Wisconsin, DePaul, Oklahoma State, Auburn, Arkansas) Mid-majors: 2 (Montana, Oral Roberts/Louisiana) Low-majors: 4 (IUPUI, UMKC, SIUe, South Dakota) Non-D-I: 2 (Minnesota-Crookston, Concordia-St. Paul)

Getting to the tournament is a big deal. No ESPN network games in the non-con for years, this year we get THREE?

Ranking of importance for Victory (excluding non-D-I's):
Wisconsin - No tournament is tough, but winning this game against a team fresh off a Final Four is the next best thing after a regular season Horizon League title.
Auburn - Jeter and Co. have a chance to exorcise some personal demons here. Should have a solid shot.
Arkansas - Winning on the road on national television would be a nice chip for the conference's RPI. If we can't help ourselves get in the tournament, we may as well boost the RPI and help out our H-League brethren.
DePaul - Gets the nod over Oklahoma State because they beat us last year and we need to pay those pricks back.
Oklahoma State - Get us some respect in the lower states, open some eyes in the Big 12 to this program.
IUPUI - No loss in the rest of the pack would be as damaging as this one to our reputation and dignity. IUPUI has a terrible reputation, losing that game would be crippling in our anti-IUPUI-to-HL argument.
Lousiana/ORU - Winning an in-season tournament, or at least winning the games, is a big deal for us. I don't know if a trophy is involved, but we'd love one since there is no Dance for us.
Montana - Cannot send kids home from break by losing to this team. A win means we beat a "name," because to casual student fans Montana sounds legit.
UMKC - This game gets the nod since it's a home game.
SIUe - Recruiting in St. Louis is something we need to keep some kind of hold on. Don't let the Boga's departure leave a bad taste for STL. Obviously we were bitten by Flowers and Johnson and then got a lot out of Chicago in Ryan Allen.
South Dakota - It's a name, but the USD game is going to be when no one is paying attention.

Very, very tough non-con schedule. In a year when we are not tournament eligible I care even less about our non-con record, however. Would love to win as many as possible but my primary concern about the non-con is that it prepares us for league play. To me, winning the HL is 100 times more important than winning any given non-con game or games.
Fortunately, such "I'd rather..." opinions are irrelevant in the real world. There is nothing mutually exclusive about doing well both in the non-con schedule and in the league.
By the way, I just drove through Missoula a few weeks ago and would have bought a Griz shirt or cap if I didn't dislike that maroon color they use. I'm sorry that game will be at the Klotsche.

Why the heck do we have a game at the KC when out name is on the damn MECCA? I mean it is only Montana but it still sucks playing at the KC. The only students at the game vs Oakland last year were members of this board, brooke hasz, and one random kid.... and that was a conference game.

The quick answer is that when we moved back to the Arena after our failed experiment at the KC we did it abruptly, and we did not have the leverage to have complete schedule preference. With our sponsorship that will improve but we will never be completely clear. That's the inherent problem with not owning the building you play in.

I'm going to assume that the game at the Klotsche Center is because of some conflict at the Arena. Milwaukee may control it, but it doesn't mean that there wasn't something scheduled prior to signing this new deal. Hopefully, that's it this season for games at the Klotsche and the conference home games take place at the Arena.

Your answer is more on par in what I've learned this summer. The Montana game might have been done at the late stages and as the Panthers now are the #1 tentant at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena, they don't have a right to kick onther event out, if already booked.

I love the logo schedule! Did you make that? Nope, Leah Thyne did. Reason #4,852 that Leah Thyne was an excellent hire.
