This is a make or break year for the Phoenix in so many ways.
They had better win the conference tournament title ... or run the table during the league season.

Would Wardle take the Milwaukee job at a half million? One could build with The Bucks on the rise as well as MU. Milwaukee would be basketball central. Believe!

I am kidding, need change to energize program but Wardle isn't the answer. I was just thinking of Kellerman coming over from GB. So, change the subject.

No he wouldn't and you don't have a half million to spend. Entry level pay and candidates are what you'd be looking at. Milwaukee is just not desirable job without a worthwhile practice facility, and with your proposed practice facility dying on the vine because of incomplete funding, the uphill battle will continue.

Milwaukee is just not desirable job without a worthwhile practice facility, and with your proposed practice facility dying on the vine because of incomplete funding, the uphill battle will continue. The proposed practice facility is fully funded and in the queue with the State of Wisconsin's Division of Facilities Development (part of the DoA). They approve building projects (obviously), and outside of our practice facility my sources weren't aware of any projects that were fully funded. It's coming. It's just got to go through the state process, which like anything in government, takes time. Important thing to remember, that I didn't mention in the article is that this is about the general student body as well, not just the basketball teams. Moving basketball into its own separate facility (slightly cheaper than Creighton's new facility) frees up the Klotsche Center during the days when it's shut down for basketball practice. That's a big deal, especially since there are sooooo many mornings when the Klotsche Pavilion's four courts are overfull to the brim with people playing pick-up. pantheru.com/2014/11/panthers-to-get-new-practice-home-mkebb-hlmbb/

Don't confuse GBBB with the facts, Jimmy. I spoke to our AD just the other day about the practice facility. If the Arena is secured and with the practice facility built, we would go from having the worst facilities in the league two years ago to having the best. A 30,000 student University in a major city with the best facilities in its league immediately becomes a candidate for another league.

Ok let the waffling begin! Jeter has probably his best team coming together next year. The following year doesn't look that bad either if one of the Prahl twins holds down the fort inside. Add a JC recruit for the inside since the backcourt actually seems settled. We could see big things from Brock and Derek. Jayquan looks legit. I say give Jeter a two year extension but require him to hire a coach for the bigs. Who else is out there. If Jeter is committed to the Panthers let's see it. We need people in the seats. The AD is just as responsible for that. Winning will do it.

I don't know how much to expect out of Derek Rongstad. Brock Stull is a great passer for a freshman and fits the Austin Arians mold.

There will be a lot of talent on next year's roster. Then again, Tiby, McWhorter and Jordan are in line for honors this year.
We've got to get that fifth-year big to round out a lineup of Jordan/Johnson, Springs/McCloud, Arians/Wichmann and Tiby.

There's no reason it has to be a fifth year player.

I wouldn't under estimate Derek. The kid comes from a great high school program and has nice size. He has a good handle but needs confidence and development. Not one of Jeter's strong points but the kid has talent. Think Mark poncratz, same type who can give you minutes. Brock Stull is the Horizon League type. These are the kids you are winners. I like the mix of next year's team. One more big rebounder will make the team that much better and could save Jeter's job.
