How much did it take for the Vatican to buy out the Pope's contract? The difference between UWM and the Catholic Church is that the Church isn't shy, and knows how to ask for donations.

How much did it take for the Vatican to buy out the Pope's contract? None, he quit to become the commissioner of the Catholic conference.

Notice what he said in his first quote: “When I came down to look at campus, I was sold right away,” Graves said at a news conference. “I understood there was history here. Good tradition. The Mitchell Center is a phenomenal facility to recruit to.” Facilities matter. A ton.

There are a plethora of examples of this. Yet, no examples of bad facilities bringing down a good coach.

Problem is we don't have great coaching or facilities. I agree that great coaching is able to do more than facilities when it comes to winning. But facilities do more than coaches when it comes to recruiting. The only way for this to not be the case is if you have a coach that consistently wins. Plus getting great facilities just require money and they last much longer than coaches. If a coach is great you risk him leaving. If he ends up a dud u end up having to find a new one. Coaches may do more but facilities are much more of a sure thing. Much less risk. And facilities can help to make a program succeed even with an average coach.

Yet, no examples of bad facilities bringing down a good coach. That's because good coaches either help influence the upgrading of facilities or move on to other programs with better facilities. Name a good coach who is content with a school's bad facilities.

Let's keep in mind there is no facilities problem worse than Milwaukee. Fordham is the absolute closest, but they practice in a private gym.
Tell me, how many good coaches have to yell over the pings of a baseball bat, the stomping of track runners and the orders of other coaches from other teams?
I'd think of Bo Ryan and Bruce Pearl, but then again they both booked it the moment they had the chance. Are we going to be so naive to believe that if Milwaukee's facilities situation were as settled as Butler or VCU that we would have lost either so quickly?

Bo Ryan, yes. 110% yes. Bruce Pearl, most likely.

Are we going to be so naive to believe that if Milwaukee's facilities situation were as settled as Butler or VCU that we would have lost either so quickly? We still would've lost both. If we would've kept them for a day or two longer is completely irrelevant.
