Hey. I want to propose to the athletic department the idea of a shirt specifically for the student section. But first I was hoping someone could come up with a cool design. I want something specifically for the Klotsche Krazies not just panthers. My idea is similar to that of MU's fanatic t-shirts. If anyone has any good ideas as how to present the idea i am all ears as well. I just feel like having a fanatic t-shirt is one step closer to a more unified student section and the more unified the student section is the more appealing it looks to casual student fans, which will hopefully draw them in as regular attendees. My Goal is to get a group of people to games that are really in to it and hopefully that draws in more fans to want to do the same. Let me know what you think and if you have any other ideas as to how we should approach making being a super fan look appealing and hopefully getting more students interested. Here is a picture of MU's fanatic t-shirts. I wish that we could do something like they do where you only get the shirt if you become a member, but idk how we could make that work. I would love any ideas or t-shirt design ideas. Attachments:

SBGC. You turn the SBGC with the help of the AD into a sponsored group. Member ran, voting for officers, make it even more of legit organization.
Each year there is a T-Shirt Design that when you join the SBGC, you get a shirt. Yearly dues maybe $10 bucks a year each Fall.
Then you host events, tailgates for soccer, baseball, ect. Special Member only seating in the student sections (this is where you need the AD support), Bus Trips, Priority to Post-Season Tickets before the General Student population gets to buy them.
This is something I always wanted to do, but TKE and Graduation got the best of me.
The idea is you sell the shirt, which comes with a membership in the SBGC, and all those perks. maybe you do a point system again where you have a membership officer who would be the guy you check in with before games and you get SBGC points for a end of year raffle, or some give away.

I would echo what Dunne says here, this would prolly be the best way to go on that idea....not that AD wouldn't wanna work with you but i think this is the best way to do it then this way you can make it however you want and not have to worry about the AD giving any final say so on any design idea.

Trust me, all of the things that DunneDeal brings up have been discussed in the SBGC. Unfortunately, it isn't as easy as it would seem and is a slow, slow process.

But something like this needs to be done. Regardless of how hard or slow the process. The School barely considers us a club the way things are right now. We should do anything and everything we can that would help legitimize us as a real student organization.
I have done a lot of research and schools all across the country are starting rewards programs like what Dunne is suggesting. Being at games gets you points, points add up and can be redeemed for prizes or used for raffles. Some schools take it a step further. Attendance at sporting events that draw less fans get students more points.
Its sad but in this day an age schools across the country are struggling to maintain student attendance numbers. I even read something that dukes student attendance aka cameron crazies attendance had been dropping year by year. Another article said georgia football is really struggling with getting students to games and the wasted revenue they lose from not being able to sell tickets for those empty seats. This isn't something that our school alone is struggling with.
So my thought is if we present well researched and a well thought up plan that has seen precedent for working at other schools, how can the AD not want to help us. I mean they want numbers too. I just feel like they dont want to support something if they aren't a hundred percent sure it is going to help.
I am going to throw some of these ideas around to the SBGC and if you guys have any other ideas i would love to hear them. Yeah most of you dont go here anymore but we all want this program to succeed. And helping to get a great student section going could really help this move back to Klotsche work out.
I am going to work my ass off to get things done while I am going here. I just hope it gets something done.

I've been told we will have a shirt this year with a student section name. But the AD wants to have their hands in it, so I can't tell you when the shirts will arrive, if it'll only be a giveaway for one game, or also put in the bookstore. As stated before... it's a slower than molasses process. Let's just focus on getting people to the games first, then work on everything else after we have a steady student section for the first few games.

Hey. Anyway we can convince the athletic department to print up flyers or those mini promotion flyer things with chants on them for us to distribute to people?

Josh, just an idea, and I know some people on the board have done this in the past. If you want some type of shirt, that you design or get designed, put it out on here and people will ask to buy one. Then wear them to the games, soon, people will want them and you take orders.
I've seen a couple of shirts do well, "Bruce is my Homeboy", "The Cell Block Shirts", "Jeters Jungle" and then the "Win-Waukee" shirts.
Plus you can make some money...maybe
