MILWAUKEE - One of the toughest things to find in basketball is the prototypical point guard. A player who can score, pass, and defend all while running a successful and winning team. Fortunately for University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's basketball coach Sandy Botham, it appears as if she has found that player with the signing of junior college standout Amanda Cook to a National Letter of Intent here Friday (Apr. 23).
In addition to her league-leading and national-ranking numbers, Cook also averaged 14.8 points per game and 2.4 rebounds per game while connecting on 111-of-132 free throws.
