Getting some good ideas. I'm meeting with Rick next week and I have several extra ideas to bring to him: Get the SBGC more involved, student fan orientation, social media...keep em coming!

I feel like the SBGC or Jeters Jungle as they use, as is needs to expand, work with the AD to run the studnet sections at all events, and like the Dawg Pound be a voice to the students, maybe they buy into the group for $10 for the year, they get an exclusive club shirt, free food for some games, preferance for bus trips, seating as games (front rows), first dibs on tickets for NCAA's.
Really, whatever it is it should be ran by the students with the AD support behind it, guiding them, in return the officers of the group need to help run promotions for games and help the AD with ideas and manpower.
I dont if this is possiable but I think it would be better than two groups not working together at all for the same goal. I think the students need the AD's platform to help push the cause and the AD needs the students to help them get the message out.

I don't if this is possible but I think it would be better than two groups not working together at all for the same goal. I think the students need the AD's platform to help push the cause and the AD needs the students to help them get the message out. This last part is key. The SBGC needs to build its size - when I said to one of them that they needed to get more people to succeed them, they said "well we got three years." No. Just like a basketball program, you need a core group of people in each class that can take over when they are seniors, use that one year to really hammer home the way they want to do things, then graduate and let the next class in. If you have a good sized SBGC - 50 kids or so - you can use that group to accomplish all of the tasks that the AD doesn't have the manpower to accomplish.
