Average margin of victory for the Phoenix in their last three games with the Panthers has got to be in the high-30s. Other Horizon League teams (with the possible exception of injury-depleted Valpo) seem to manage to keep the margin below 30.
And when was the last time the Panthers beat Green Bay? i'm not sure.
Coach Botham is effusive in her praise for the culture of winning in GB's women's basketball program. There's been no sign of any development of such a culture in Milwaukee for the last three years at least.

What a half-assed, cliche-filled piece. [/crossthreading]

In this story and the NY Times story, it mentioned Wisconsin-born players who had no other D-I offers.
Ummmmmm

In this story and the NY Times story, it mentioned Wisconsin-born players who had no other D-I offers. Ummmmmm The article also implies that Green Bay's reputation is such that many of its recruits wouldn't go elsewhere if anyone else offered:
Ritchie, a one-time Phoenix water girl, committed to UWGB when she was 15.
"I didn't really give myself a chance to get other offers," she said. "My heart was set on Green Bay."
Sarah Eichler, a junior forward from Grafton, didn't have to think twice when Bollant offered her a scholarship.
"My recruiting process wasn't very complicated," she said. "They called and offered, I talked to my family about it, sat everyone down and told them what was going on, and within two hours I had accepted the scholarship."
Coach Botham and/or her staff managed to win the recruiting battle against Green Bay for Traci Edwards. Does anyone know of any other successes of this sort?
Did the staff even try to get Sarah Eichler to come to Milwaukee?

Traci Edwards committed in fall 2004. At that point, the Kress Events Center was just a plan.

Who isn't on the arena train? People who are against moving games to campus. And they tend to be those who have never gone to any games and because they know we play at the Cell, they think there is no reason to move back to campus to a new arena. Or if we do, that the Klotsche doesn't need to be rebuilt etc. So basically people who are ignorant/have no idea what is actually going on with the facilities.

I see ... I thought we were referring to non-students. Jimmy probably was. I think overall the people and students who are pro-athletics will be a bigger voice for a new arena than those who are anti-athletics would be against new facilities but time will tell I guess.
