The current Alderman wants students who host a keg party to be SUSPENDED from school for a year. He wants to cut down on off-campus housing. He says we are secondary citizens. Please vote against D'Amato. Vote for a SBGC member, a UWM football player, and a Panther fan. Vote for Goodhue, the Good guy Feb. 17th
(I know this is a basketball board but this is too important)

Today my men and women, begins an 11-hour war. A war that consists of us vs. them. A war that is not fought with words or weapons but rather ballots and brochures. From 9am-8pm the polls at Riverside High School and Sandburg Halls will be open and ready for battle. Do your best to cover every friend, roommate, housemate, Chemistry partner or old girlfriend and tell them they absolutely need to vote. Every person you recruit is like you voting again. I need your help.
Benjamin Goodhue for Alderman Vote for the Good guy (aka Helmet)

Ben,
For you to pull 1000+ votes was simply amazing... BUT... that says how many students did not get out and make their mark (Sandburg alone is 3k!).
With 45% voting AGAINST D'Amato we still have an excellent opportunity to remove him in April... especially considering all of the student body that did not cast votes.
Congrats.

I couldn't believe almost 12,000 voters came out thats ridiculous. You're right breaking the 1,000 barrier was a feat, but as to removing him I don't know how well myself and the 2 other candidates can combine our votes with ms. Wehner and even then it wouldn't be enough. I know at least one of the losing candidates had voiced his displeasure with her and his preference might be mike over her anyways. There are so many students that just don't care or think it doesn't matter that you will never come close to getting 50% of Sandburg voting even if its just right downstairs for them. Heck most of them wouldn't even walk 100 yds to a free basketball game at Klotsche when it was there. But to end this post I would love to thank all of you out there who voted, brought voters, and got us up to the 1,000 mark i truly could not have done it without you.
