Jimmy... Well done tonight... I thought you did a good job leading the charge even though there was a little resistance from some of the freshmen...I expect that. A few suggestions however...
-Scrap the "take it on down" chant or whatever...it wasn't terribly effective. -Don't try to do tooooooo much. I think that's where some of the resistance came in. Remember, we want these kids to come back. (But that "Jump Around" idiot was a complete moron...as was his friend) -Frame it up was OK, but what happened to PANTHERS (stomp, stomp) after a free throw? -Get some of those guys up front to help you out a bit...more people will think it's the "cool thing" to do instead of seeing you as that guy who tries to do too much. I did what I could in the middle of the pack... -Don't EVER take off your pants again...I don't care if you have shorts underneath. You scared the sh*t out of me...lol

I'd like to say I didn't pull my pants off. Can't. It happened. No fur coat. But I was wearing b-ball shorts that went below my knees. So no one really saw anything. A lot of disappointed sighs from the ladies when I revealed the shorts. I guess they were hoping for more. I plan on having backup next week, trust me. Have to really, to have an actual section while I'm writing for games. I made peace with those guys, by the way. They knew who I was and were kind when I went up to talk to them. I did bring their wrath myself, since I was the one who started the asshole chant at the jump around kid. They're good guys, I don't foresee problems with them in the future. As for some of the freshmen, they didn't like following me because I was the only one getting the section going. Probably thought I was some crazy dude. Well, not that I'm sane or anything, but it doesn't help that I was alone - I do look like a crazy. If we can get more people in the student section acting like me...well, somewhat like me...we won't have the problems with freshmen and the entire section will benefit.

Keep it up Jimmy!
You're bound to look less "crazy" every game when more and more join in.

You did great Jimmy. Really great. For the first time I saw an actual section leader down there.

Yes great job Jimmy.
I have just one suggestion.
Instead of Tim-my Flowers and Rob-bie Jeter.
Just make it a quick Tim....Flowers.... and Rob....Jeter....
Like what we used to do for Bruce Pearl. It was just Bruce (three of four claps then...) Pearl.

Hey...I give it up to Jimmy...he did a lot of teaching and the young ones took to it: the best part is during timeouts Jimmy would turn around and tell them to sit...and they did!
Also, IDEAS, Jimmy and his "troops" we cant think of it all and if you think of something else that whould work bring it up ..even coming up to us at the game and giving some ideas.
Let's keep it going, it was really fun to see the student section that full for Parkside.

It was just Bruce (three of four claps then...) Pearl. The Bruce Pearl chant was done that way because of the single syllables. Jimmy has the chant correct.

-Frame it up was OK, but what happened to PANTHERS (stomp, stomp) after a free throw? the band still does it. perhaps we need to be more deliberate with our delivery of it.

All right then.
I guess I just don't like the "Timmy" and "Robbie". Sounds too...I don't know what the correct PC word is. But sounds too something...
Just plain "Tim" and "Rob" seems more "tough", if you know what I mean.

Still great job Jimmy.
Now if we can just keep those kids coming to the game and maybe get them to maybe recruit a person or two, we'll really have something going. There was around 150 students, that's pretty damn good for any game.
Although, I wish someone would have told Jimmy that the players were going to thank them for coming, after the game. They announced that when about 90% had already left their seats.
Maybe when it's for real next Friday.
