I think Detroit plays two too many non-Division 1 games.
It's not inconceivable that the Titans will play only two games against mid-majors.
This schedule appears to be way pre-2009 -- full of heavyweights and pushovers.

While I agree with your assessment of our home schedule- we are schedule to play in the CBE Classic (Most likely)@ Notre Dame. This "tournament" would then send us down to Bowling Green to play them and then two other teams (announced later).

Redirecting ...
Ray McCallum, Jr. Eli Holman. Chase Simon. Nick Minnerath. Chris Blake. Jason Calliste. Doug Anderson. Lamarcus Lowe. P.J. Boutte ...
In short, I think the Titans are one of the 32 most talented teams in the country with a slew of high-major talents.
They most definitely have the ability to put it together; will they?

My prediction is NO! You can't consitently win with crappy coaching no matter how talented your players are.

Detroit's non-league schedule:
Lake Erie, Ohio (non-D1) at Notre Dame (9) at Alabama (80) Concordia, Mich. (non-D1) vs. George Washington (145) at Bowling Green (245) vs. Austin Peay (130) St. John's (26) Western Michigan (174) Mississippi State (119) Alabama State (263)

This is getting ridiculous. I don't have a major problem with ranking Detroit 60 (although I think they'll be lower based on Ray Sr.'s poor coaching), but if they're the 3rd place H-League team at 60, there's something really wrong with Joel's previews.

That's a really good write-up of Detroit that nails both the potential and the problem with this team. If they play a certain way they can be a dominant team.
If they play like they have the last few years, they'll end up third or fourth in the league and with an outside shot at the NIT.
So how are you going to have them play, Ray?

Who in the world is No. 2? Cleveland State? Without Norris Cole? That's laughable.

Ouch. Not good for Detroit. Holman is easily the most talented big man in the league. He hasn't been the most productive, but that really hasn't been his fault.
That's at least two critical players in the league (along with Kaylon Williams) whose status is somewhat unclear.
