Bouchie's is just a strange tale. State champion at Washington High. Indiana All-Star. Scored 20 points in Valpo's 72-71 CBI victory at Washington his freshman year ... against Jon Brockman. And two years later he's faded into oblivion.
Surely, there's something more to this story.

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - They came to Evansville together as freshman and now James Haarsma and Kaylon Williams could be basketball teammates again, this time - at Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
A source tells 14 Sports that Haarsma took an official visit to UWM Wednesday afternoon.
Haarsma left the aces' basketball program last month, saying he wanted to play closer to his Wisconsin hometown of Racine, just south of Milwaukee.
Williams, who left UE after his freshman year of 2008-09, recently committed to play for the Panthers.

Well he was on campus monday and took and official visit today. It would seem like we are close to landing him. I wonder if he would be on schollie right away or if he had a similar offer that Barnett had.

This would be a big recruit for us, given the impending graduation of Ant Hill.
There's no question that James would be on scholarship, given that we have some available.

I have a feeling that we're going to come out the victors for Haarsma.
Take that how you will.

How many years of eligibility does Haarsma have? Two?

How many years of eligibility does Haarsma have? Two? James will have two years of eligibility beginning in 2011... He will be able to step in for fellow 6'7" post Anthony Hill, and we won't miss a beat at all... James gave Evansville 11 points and 7 rebounds a game last year. That's a big time contribution for a sophomore. Imagine him as a senior!

I haven't seen Haarsma play since his St. Cat's days, but he was a better player then than Tony Meier is today. Nice piece of recruiting by Jeter and staff.
