Lists UW-Milwaukee as the name, the old black gold and blue block logo. Apparently we play in the Klotsche Center:
"The Pavilion is the home of UWM's basketball and volleyball teams. Built in 2006, this is what the Panthers call home. It is the newest on-campus building at UWM."
Really now?
I wouldn't make a big deal out of the name if the wannabe school to the north was listed similar. Are they? Nope. Green Bay.
Gotta love our half-ass backwards way of doing things sometime. Let's not send up to date information to EA Sports or anything, only millions of people play this video game.

Once again I guess what I don't understand when you make these assertions on here is why? I'm sure if the hard working folks in Athletics I know had time to run around checking this stuff, they would, and would send EA Sports the changes. Personally I think it is negligent of EA Sports to check or request updated information. It's their game, and they should want it to be as real as possible.
When I see or hear things that I know are not correct, I let the folks I know about it. I don't come online and talk about the "half ass backwards" way they do things. I just think that is crappy, especially since I know that you do spend alot of time in Athletics. I just think you would be better served responding to this in a different way.

Absolutely not Hops. But by the same token, I highly doubt a BCS school is sending information to EA Sports. EA Sports is doing research on those schools. The game is theirs, therefore I believe the responsibility is on them. I'm sure if they sent a request for updated info the folks in Athletics would respond.

Whether it's the game maker's responsibility, or the Athletic dept.'s, I as a fan of both the Panthers and the video game, would like it to be corrected. It reflects poorly on the team when these inconsistencies are everywhere, regardless of who is at fault. When uw-gb has it's sh*t together and we don't, we look like blundering idiots.
And I would bet that all schools are sending EA sports some kind of informational package with digital logos and designs of courts and uniforms and such. EA sports managed to update the center court logo the same year it was introduced, but failed to update the rest of the court. Probably because that was the extent of what they were given.

Make sure you contact the folks in Athletics for the correction. Discussing it here isn't going to solve the problem.

Right. It's our responsibility as fans to make sure they do their jobs properly. It's no wonder we have 5 names and 4 logos floating around, the fans aren't working hard enough.

So I guess it's just easier to talk about a problem or oversight to others, instead of addressing the it with the person/entity directly? We don't know how the process goes, or who to point the finger at as you said in your previous post, but if it means that much wouldn't you want them to correct it? Is it just easier to sit around and talk about how this makes us look like blundering idiots. I just don't get it.

Of course it is. I'm not a student. Not really high on my list of things to track down who's in charge of video games. I do think they would care enough to get it right, since the identity of the Athletic dept. seems to be such a priority these days. Sounds like a job for Mr. Lemke.
Actually, in the past, I have pointed out factual mistakes on uwmpanthers.com and the issues were never corrected. So I doubt this would be any different.

The difference is that uwmpanthers.com is visited by our people or by people who are looking out for us. NCAA Basketball 10 is a game that sells millions of copies and a large portion of that number will play as us or against us in that time during the game.
I've got some pluses and minuses after playing it for awhile.
This isn't a job for me. I've been trying to get them to change it for years, but their repeated answers to me are the "we need the school to notify us" lines. I passed that along in the past, and I don't know if they were taken at all. The people who I have talked to about it in the past are gone, so it's not something I can lay on the people who are there now.
As Pantherdon pointed out, Green Bay has everything they want in the game. We don't. That reflects poorly on us.
+ In last year's game they had Eayrs as a skinny black guy. This year, except for the hair (which is lighter) they have him down pat - looks very close, and they have his numbers OK too. In fact, looking at the team, there are only a couple I changed.
- Eayrs name is pronounced by Brad Nessler as "Ears."
- Uniforms in the game were last worn in 2006-07 season. If you remember, they're the solid white/black with the opposite in two stripes down the side, ending in a half-circle at the bottom of the shorts. Do you know how long it takes to make new uniforms? 30 minutes in photoshop. They had a special feature of "making the game" in the 2006 version that showed how detailed it is.
+ New logo is center court. I guess they did see some things. The logo we have on our court is the logo they have in the game. They also have the UW-Milwaukee academic logos in the right spots.
- Paint. The paint in the key is an ugly blue, like the old Klotsche Center floor.
- Klotsche Center? Really? I'd love to be playing there (were it updated, of course) but the game has not reflected our real home court ever; we weren't in the game until 2005, and they've had us in the Klotsche Center the whole time. They will never build the Cell in the game; it will always be a generic arena (they have about 6 of them). But I have a real problem with the name. It takes 3 seconds to code a new name in the game and write-up something that isn't bullsh*t. Take the time.
- No fight song for us. Sweet. That takes up such a small space and little time and effort to put it in that it makes me angry. I know a lot of people don't like our fight song, but damn it it's our fight song. Once again, something that was IN College Hoops 2k8, a game that is now 2 years old.
- Here are the full-time D-I schools missing from the game: Kennesaw State, North Florida, Savannah State, Longwood, Chicago State, NJIT, Texas-Pan American and Utah Valley. Let it be known that EACH of them were in the last installment of 2k's College Hoops, which was released in December of 2007.
- Aaaand it just froze on me.

Good points BP.
If the people you hit brick walls with in the past are gone, then maybe it is something to revisit? Given the staffing size and constraints of our Program, my opinion is that there are some things that we as fans do need to bring to the AD's attention.
Just asking.

Let it be known that EACH of them were in the last installment of 2k's College Hoops, which was released in December of 2007. ...and you know what else 2K did? They had us at the US Cellular Arena, and made it look damned close to real, right down to the empty seats :/ They had our fight song; almost down pat. And the game was much more intuitive. Haven't even played EA's game since MM2005. Nor do I plan to. So the AD contacted 2K Sports with info, not EA? Huh? This is 110% on Electronic Arts. If EA gave two sh!ts about the game, they wouldn't be leaving teams out, and having bizarre continuity errors (Green Bay, but UW-Milwaukee). It bothers me a lot more about playing at the Klotsche, because that's just blatant apathy. I enrolled, studied and have since graduated at the school since the last time the men played there. I am not going to play or rent, much less buy EA's game until they start putting some degree of effort into it. I've also heard the gameplay itself sucks. Big shocker there. SI,SO. God I hope 2K sports can re-obtain a license soon.

that really sucks i'm glad you all have tested the game so i don't have to buy it the players feel like they're skating on the floor, i have march madness 05 and it sounds like they have made 0 improvements. now if you want an awesome game let me recommend fifa 10. gameplay is good, plethora of teams/leagues/jerseys, and they always seem to have killer soundtracks
