Marquette is not playing really well given the lofty standard it has set for itself. Milwaukee is playing not nearly as well as that.
All speculations, projections and predictions should begin and end with whether the Panthers can prevent Marquette from beating them by 20 or more. This alone is very disappointing.

MU 93 Milwaukee 62
The closest this game gets will be at the tip (0-0).

MU 90 UWM 74
UWM scraps to a 36-33 deficit at half, before losing it...

Marquette 86 Milwaukee 62
We'll keep it close for the first half, but their athleticism and the crowd will do us in.

Marquette really laid an egg on Saturday and it shows they will be had by teams with strong post players come Big East conference time. I think they're going to have problems with Madison, specifically Leuer. Bo has really coached those guys up. The only chance we have is Marquette is looking ahead to that Madison game. Too bad that chance is fat.
MU 95, Milwaukee 68.

I don't do predictions -- but I also don't disagree with any that I have seen here. The sad thing is that my expectations for this game have to do with the way we are playing rather than the actual quality of our players. We have some talented players who have been absolutely AWOL this year, and of those who aren't, their shooting eye is AWOL. And both our defense and our ball protection have been inconsistent at best and awful at worst.
I'm not concluding this team can't still right itself and improve significantly. We have a history of doing that in January and February. But I hold out little hope for the game tomorrow.

I'll just add that if Franklin and Eayrs aren't on the block posting up right off the bat - as a number of us have said they should in other threads - I will seriously question the gameplanning and intelligence of this coaching staff. Any advantage versus Marquette must be taken advantage of from the opening tip on.

Guys, don't get sucked in, Wisconsin-Milwaukee has been slow playing all year in anticipation of this game. MU gets caught sleeping!

Any advantage versus Marquette must be taken advantage of from the opening tip on. All due respect, 97, but youi have been questioning that for five years. Nothing new there. As for your idea, in theory it's fine, but we had big James posting on the block against Loyola and they collapsed on him and forced turnovers. Marquette would do the same unless we have movement on the perimeter and our post players look for kickouts. Of course, if no one can hit a three that won't do us much good either. The real key is movement. We have too many players on offense standing around waiting for something to happen. This is where we really miss Tone.

Marquette doesn't have a post player as good as Polka, IMO.
Final score
Milwaukee 45 Marquette 7
Oh wait, we're not posting the last football score? Excuse me.
Milwaukee 72 Marquette 89
