Video on HLN www.horizonleaguenetwork.tv/video.htmlThis is the poor mans coach k claims he has the best point guard in mid-major basketball And his fun facts: Top 4 in conference for 6 straight years, only 18 teams have done that! Top 3 in each of the last 5 years! WOW! I wonder how many teams can match or beat his one CBI bid in 7 years on the job. Surely only Fairleigh Dickinson could come close.

For unintentional humor, look for right before the 21 minute mark in the video, when the camera adjusts for the vertically challenged Matt Bollant.

I hate when Green Bay says that about their program. The goal for GB is to be the powerhouse they were in the early 1990's. I was shocked that they didn't make the NIT last year.

OK fans....try this fun fact on for size. Last 7 seasons games played in the NCAA Tournament: Butler 9, Milwaukee 6, Cleveland St 2, UIC 1, Wright St 1, GBay 0...

It wasn't shocking at all. In fact, pretty much all of the college hoops websites, prognosticators and so-called experts that predict the NIT field every year along with their Field of 65 prediction predicted them to miss the cut.
Since the field was narrowed not once, but effectively twice (first by cutting the field from 48 to 40, and then by cutting the amount of "at-large" spots available by giving auto bids to every single Low-major conference champ), Green Bay's #71 RPI was right on the edge of the NIT bubble... at least for a non-BCS conference team.

The answer to this question is the same as the answer to the question of whether or not kowalczyk will ever be considered as one of the greatest coaches in the country....
NO.
Cheers... Southpaw

Oh my! That finish certainly did require some governance from the basketball gods.
Anyway, a very nice road win -- and a good day overall -- for the Horizon League.
