It was for the majority of the 1970's, and I do believe that back then the NCAA did not have a "provisional D-I" status. If they did, UWM would have been considered that for nearly all of those years. That's the biggest reason why the '90-91 move is considered the 1st "Full Move" to Division I for UWM.
