I'm looking to hitch a ride to Hinkle for the BU game on the 24th. I'm on-campus in the dorms. Bus route permitting, I'd be willing to take the bus to meet you somewhere to get a ride. Let me know your location and I'll let you know if the bus goes there if you don't already know. Of course I'm willing to shell-out some dough for gas. So just pm me on here if you can help me out. Thanks!

I moved this here so we can keep them both linked to the front page of the board.

There's still aprox. a 60-75% chance that I will not have to work an overtime shift this Saturday night, and therefore will make the trip to Indy on Saturday morning with several D-Board members that want to go. I've already heard from two reg posters (including the original poster) that are interested. That leaves 2 more open seats in my Jeep Grand Cherokee for anyone else who may be interested in joining us. The Jeep is VERY roomy and warm btw...
We'd be leaving around 8:30 or 9:00am Sat morning, and arriving back around 9pm Sat night. Cost would be 3 tanks of gas (and tolls) divided by the amount of people in the car. So not very much if there's 4 or 5 of us.

We'd be leaving around 8:30 or 9:00am Sat morning, and arriving back around 9pm Sat night. According to my calculations (i.e. Mapquest), it's about a 4 hour and 45 minutes drive to Indianapolis. If you plan on leaving at 9am, that would put you there at about 1:45pm - tip off is at 1pm. Just thought I would give you a heads up... Also, I'm thinking about heading down to this game. I'm not really one that has much experience heading to road games, other than the Bradley Center. How would I go about getting tickets to this? Is there somewhere on campus that handles this or do I have to go through Ticketmaster/Butler? Thanks!

Easy to get confused by the time change... I plan on leaving by 9 our time, which is 10am their time. Tip is at 2pm our time, 3pm their time. So I plan on leaving at least 5 hours before tip...
And the drive actually takes less than 4 1/2 hours even if you get slowed a bit going thru Chicago (which won't be bad on a saturday morning). We will probly leave at 8:30 though, just to be safe.
EDIT: Crap, now I see that tip is in fact at 2:00 ET, 1pm our time like you said. So I guess we will be hitting the road by 8am after all, lol!

Plan on 5 hours from when you leave until you are in your seats and you will be fine. Parking can be tough around Hinkle, and you may need to walk a bit to get it. I would STRONGLY recommend leaving by 8am, but it's up to you...
For those who want to experience the area, there are some really nice bars/restaurants on College Avenue (about a mile west of the university)
As for tickets, call the ticket office and they will be able to sell you seats in the "Panther area". If you haven't been to Hinkle yet, I highly recommend making the trek.

Haha, Hack & Lou, you two are really on the ball in the morning! I was typing my edit while both your responses rolled in.

I understand there's construction (yet again) in Chicago. That will add to your travel time if that's the case.

Hey, so it sounds like me, Jimmy and others are currently without a ride so I'm posting here that if anyone has room, we'd be interested. We'd certainly help with gas, etc
