Our blurb in today's paper may have paled in comparison, but our front page stories throughout March trumped anything they have done in the last year. Plus we'll be getting all the stories once again when we are tournament bound and they are at the bakery looking for cupcakes to add to next year's schedule. I also was a little disappointed in last nights events. No Tyrone Young and not enough uwmfan on the mic I would rather have a lackluster night last night and a HUGE win vs. Memphis next month than a picture in the journal and a 3-13 Big East season.

Folks, you can't ask Rob Jeter to be Bruce Pearl. But what you can expect is a great basketball mind who is a great recruiter and who will run a disciplined program that will win. You'll love him soon enough.
As for the festivities, it was just the usual silliness. Hard to criticize something that's lighter than air to start with. But it should be held at Klotsche, just like MU holds their silly session at the Al.
By the way, I think Derrick Ford injured himself going in for the dunk that he aborted.
Whatever else, this team is stocked with great athletes.

Greetings Sports Fans! How about those Badgers?Life is a changing thing and some things have changed in College Sports Journalism Land. First, The UWM Post has a new Sports Editor, former columnnist and UWM Club Football player RC Weich, III, will take the top spot. A new freshman photographer, Kyle Stevens of Janesville Craig, has joined our staff. Kyle took pictures for the Janesville Gazette and has mounted my backup 400 mm telephoto lens onto his Canon Rebel X. I have moved onto first shift at DaimlerChrysler's Milwaukee National Distribution Center, after fooling around on third for three years. And get this, they want me to work for my money now. FAN-tastic Friday was a surprising mix of outstanding and fair. I'm glad that UWM moved it downtown, 'cause that's where we live now. Sandy Botham and team looked great... as did Volleyball, the Band, Dance Team, and the very large Cheer Leading Squad. Hearing from Bud via video was a nice addition -- Hat's Off to our Latest Hall of Famer. I caught Ed McCants on camera and looked around for other famous alumni and notable Upperclassmen. It seemed like a nice crowd all around. Of the 2,000 plus shots, I am summitting 60 to The UWM Post for this week's edition. Please feel free to take a look at what's in the queue -- maybe one or some will actually be published. Our photo website is very, very behind. I hope to take back my unpaid lunch period, to spend more time on it. It's hard to get the Very Big Corporation to slow down, even for thirty minutes a day. The Student Black & Gold Club (AKA The Klotsche Krazies) appears to be growing fastest on facebook.com Please visit our page at: uwm.facebook.com/group_profile.php?gid=1984Faithfully yours, John J Ward Volunteer Staff Photographer The UWM Post The FAN-tastic Friday pic2mail photosjohnjaymilwaukee.com/fantasticfridaypic2mails

According to Al Hanson, Young has a minor injury that kept him out of action. I'd rather he sit here and be ready when the season starts, as I'm sure you'd all also like to see.
xucantcmex, if you're there to listen to me, you're going for the wrong reasons!
