You probably won't see the schedule until september. Finalizing games at the mid-major level is a though task.

Especially this year due to the horrible fact that it seems as though a lot of teams just do not want to play us. I know Coach Bidlingmyer is working hard to get some good games.

I would really like to see someone like last year with the same caliber as Kansas...evne though it might pose a potential loss the experiance a game like Kansas gave UWM for the tournamnet was unmeasurable

1) do we play WI this year? 2) if so, where? regardless of here or madison i think we have a good chance of beating them this year. with who they lost to graduation (Wilkinson, Morley, Chambliss, Hanson) will definitely make this season an uphill battle. Butch could be a problem for us but overall i think if we could've contained Jared Dudley (minus free throw shooting), Craig Smith, Kennedy Winston and Earnest Shelton i think we'd do ok against the badgers. i think we'd be competitive against North Carolina too since they lost their 7 best players.

Where have you been we play Wisconsin virtually every year...and for your notes we play at madison...its in the 10 year contract we signed with them....as long as Bo Ryan is the coach we will play them every year

Tell us how you really feel bball30.
I dont know if we will be able to beat WI this year, but with recent events i would say that our chances are much better than last year. But lets not forget how WI man handled the Panthers last year. This game always gives me butterflies. But i will hope the game takes a radical change. If you guys remeber, former WI assistant coach Rob Jeter will be leading the Panthers this year. (you guys knew that) I'm super excited about the media coverage the panthers are going to get. You know, the student takes the teacher to school. The story writes itself. I predict this instate game will get the most pregame attention.
Butch, man that kid is a beast. I think hes swell. I dont like the fact that he shoots the 3 ball. I mean come on, you are already 7 feet so that means any guard will have to jump to put hand in your face. Plus you raise your hands above your head which is another 1-2 feet above you. Then he uses his legs and gives a little jump with his shot so put on another half foot to one foot. the ball could be 9 feet in the air when hes taking his shot from the arch. thats going to be tiring for guards having to jump for him all the time. Which means they will draw a big man defender out of the paint. I really hope he "doesnt" get mono. that ankle biter. IF anyone remebers the time he feel to the floor and grabed the opposing teams ankle you know what im talking about.

yeah i would say your feeling crabby bball30. i don't know too much about UWM bball b/c this is my first year here but am trying to make up for lost time as quickly as can be. so i wasn't aware of any 10 yr. deal or anything like that. its a little naive to think that everyone on here knows as much about this stuff as u do. if u don't like what i'm posting then simply choose to skip what i say. u have that power, feel free to use it at your own discretion. as for ob1wisc, i was at Whitewater, more specifically the bars since that's the only thing to do in that decrepid p.o.s. town. ease up, i'm new here. i bet u asked some questions that seemed stupid to others as well when u started following bball.

So does anyone know when the schedule comes out, or when some teams get leaked out on who UWM will beat?

Andy Katz reported this yesterday: ESPN and 13 conference commissioners will meet Tuesday at Chicago's O'Hare Airport to discuss the future of the Bracket Buster event. Equity issues with the event (who should be home and away) will be broached. The commissioners expected to attend are from the WAC, MAC, Horizon, Missouri Valley, OVC, MAAC, Southern, CAA, Sun Belt, Big West, Big Sky, America East and Mid-Continent. he's referring to May 24th for the Tuesday meeting in case someone gets confused.

I kind of recall reading that St. Louis & Hawaii are both supposed to play at the Cell this year, but I don't remember where. Am I making that up, or are they coming to town?

according to a Dec news item on the Panther website recapping the St. Louis game, they will play here next season. still can't confirm the Hawaii one, but I swear I read it somewhere.

The mailing sent to season ticket holders states that home games will include St. Louis and Hawaii.
