No player from Louisville scored more than 17 points against Illinois -- just about half of Joah Tucker's 32 points against the Illini, still the most scored against them all season. (I think the most scored against them last week was 24.)
That deserves recognition on this board! As does the way we will be able to say, in two days, that Milwaukee must be the one of the top teams in the NCAA, coming closer to beating Illinois than almost any team in the tourney.

L'ville lost by 15 to Illinois genius. I know, UIC is a great education, they just continue to pump out grads who can't do any math.

The reason the margin was what it was is largely due to poor shot selection down the stretch coupled with simply not hitting shots throughout. If anyone was even close to as hot as Tucker, the game would have taken on a different complexion. Serious regognition must be given to Tucker, he came alive late in the season when it mattered most.
And since the Illini beat us, Im hoping for an Illini championship, which will lend further credence to Milwaukee's program.

Sounds like someone has a case of the sundays . Relax nohops, no need to go crazy because someone had the score wrong. Some body please change his dipper you were wrong. your post states that we were wrong and that UWM wasnt even close to the scores of the other games. by checking your "math skills" we found that all scores were pretty much similar. therefore, like usuall you were wrong. yawn. its too easy.

Well, we have learned useful info for the future from this. "Bruce Pearl" is not a name that we can use to get a rise out of the Illini anymore; we give that to UT.
But all we have to say is "Joah Tucker" after his great game, and it gets the Illini so crazed they can't count -- or even read (i.e., reread my original post). Maybe we're so much better at it because we so enjoy counting all that Illini money when it comes across our borders. So thank you also for being the number-one source of tourists to us who make tourism the number-one industry in Wisconsin.
But the name I'll be rooting for tomorrow is "Bruce Weber!"
After all, Illinois, he's our alum. We gave him to you. You can be nice and thank us now. We'll thank you tomorrow when you win -- because it will only make us look better.

hey sorry i made the istake of throwing louisville in there, I meant to say arizona, but i had a few beers in me when i was writing it. Not that the 1 point of 14 or 15 makes much of a difference. Bottomline is UWM performance, except tucker against Illinois did not earn you any more respect. And before you go spouting off on UIC education, get one thing straight I never attended UIC or any college for that matter. I luv the game of college Basketball andn thats why I follow it and go on boards where basketball is discussed. I frankly could care less on who gets a better education.

How can you say we didn't earn anymore respect??? That is way off base, we were ranked as a small league, 12th seed, and although we didn't win, and in fact, we didn't have our best game of the season, we still gave illinois a run for their money!! We played hard, and if we were as "bad" as we were ranked, and they were as "good" as they were ranked, they would have given us a horrible beating, and they didn't...so before you come on a panther supporting board and say something negative, I would seriously reconsider....we have earned a TON of respect this season, and every one of the guys on the team deserve it. They all worked very hard for it!!!!!

I forgot you cant take any negitive talk on your board. I mean he11 what are we all five. If you dont care to read what he wrote then dont do it. I for one think UWM made a great run and helped themselves out a ton. To bad Pearl took all the press with him to UT. Much is still to come of your team however, who ever takes over is left with a lot of talent, but without a clear cut give me the ball scorer. Sure you can say Tucker will do it, but McCants was a he11 of a leader and i will be somewhat sad to see him go. I always knew when he played UIC he was going to give it his all, and for that matter every game.

I would hardly say Pearl took all the press with him to UT.... Ok maybe not all the press, but to say that he didnt take a lot of it away would be stupid. I mean was it a week after your run he takes off. It does tarnish it a bit, and he can take some of the players that were looking to play under him away.

I always knew when he played UIC he was going to give it his all, and for that matter every game. you talk wasnt negative (it was as usual) but we had to correct you so we could set a good example for poeple learning math. like UIC students. te he he. Spike, your post are severly bi polar. in the beging you usually calls some one a jackass then you say their school is bad. and then you pick one comment to be nice about. i dont get it man. dont you know they have drugs for this type of thing. Then you say something ridiculous. Pearl took all the media with him. Im not sure what that means. They have return plain tickets. they are just taking a short vacation. they will be back. They have to write about milwaukee stuff not knoxville stuff. Joah droped 32 points on the number team in the nation i think he is able to be a leader. When ed was in a shooting slump Joah took the scoring load and we still won games. yawn...... im sorry someone around me did it and its contagious. i will give 2 bucks to the person who can pick out the sacastic analysis. good luck!
