So CSU has a better history than UWM?
And UIC has a better history than UWM?
When did you guys become history experts? I thought it was all about how dominant you are right now?

I think in the next couple seasons we need to schedule more mid-level competition (RPI 50-100). Look at the mid-major schools with decent RPIs right now, such as Pacific, Holy Cross, Old Dominion, Akron, Wichita St, etc. The difference in their schedules is they have 4-6 games against teams with 50-100 RPI ratings. UWM is 0-0.
Maybe we need to cut out some of the UW-Parksides, SD States, and Prairie View A&Ms and schedule some teams from the MAC, MVC and CUSA. These would be very winnable games that would help tremendously when selection time comes around. And these teams would come to UWM to play because they actually would have something to gain, unlike UW or Kansas.
I do give UWM credit with the schedule this year--I think they just caught some bad breaks. Going into the season I thought St. Louis, Purdue, Manhattan and Air Force would all have been bettter teams. In 2004 they were all right around the 50-100 range.

I also think it is necessary to ahve a couple of cake teams in your schedule early, just for building confidence. all in all i think this was UWM's toughest schedule (that i have ever seen UWM have) sometimes you just have no clue how other teams are going to perform, and we caught a bad break as far as other teams having horrible RPIs well... what are ya gonna do. Ithink all in all we had a pretty tough schedule this year and lets not forget taht a lot of it was on the road.
