so don't take this thread as looking past tonight cause i'm not... it's going to be a tough game for sure. we have a quick turn around after tonight into the YSU game saturday. i'm hoping those presale numbers were accurate before because we could have a really great crowd for a less than appealing opponent. i just hope the students turn out once again as there's only a couple (maybe a couple more) home games left. anyone know if they're advertising on campus again? you guys did great last weekend, let's see it again for our remaining home games!!!

I think the 8,300 that I've heard represents the number of tickets in circulation at various Chevy dealers rather than the actual number of tickets sold. I just can't imagine that there will be anything approaching 8,300 people in the seats to see Youngstown State. I'd be thrilled with 5,000.

I agree...........I think 4,000 - 5,000 is more realistic.

5,000 is certainly more realistic, that's why i was so surprised to hear those numbers before. regardless, i hope the student turnout is strong again. that was a beautiful sight last weekend.

time to talk YSU. they gave UIC a game last night so i'm sure they'll have some fight in them... that whole "nothing to lose" thing. remember last year we lost this game at YSU. after watching the panthers last night i sincerely doubt we'll look past any team/game we have for the rest of the season. i just hope to see a controlled game where we find some rhythm. i'd also like to see us keep/extend a lead should we get it early.
hope the crowd turns out, this team deserves the support. also hoping to see a lowd, rowdy, and very large student turnout... there's no excuses being a saturday night. pre-game at Goolsbys!

YSU has played tough ball all year but has just fell short more times than not. They have not really been getting blown out...I am sure they will come out ready to play, but I feel after a scary game last night for UWM I feel we will come out more focused and determined than ever. I feel we will come out looking sharp and running up and down the floor. I see this as one of our better all around games of the year. I think we will be sharp and leave with an impressive 20 point win...NOt to overlook YSU but bring on Butler:)

Bucks play across the street Saturday night ... thankfully against Atlanta.
Hopefully the casual basketball fan looking to go to a game Saturday night will make the right choice.

I guess I will take the 25 points.
If my ESPN 2K5 on xbox predictor is correct. UWM will defeat YSU 96-48. I think it should be a fun game to watch. Hopefully we will finally get that Popeyes Chicken. I am ready for some high flying Panthers.

Even though I think UWM is going to win this one easily, the betting man in me would take YSU and the 25. That's a lot of wood to cover.
Happy 7,000 posts, UWM message board!

Magic number:
1!
Clinched a share of the HL title.
Can win it outright with a UWGB loss Monday at UIC or a UWM win vs. Butler on Wednesday.

McCoy has great at the end of the game. Have you ever seen a player be more upset when a shot would be made. Everytime we would shoot he would crash the glass and be in position for a tip back duck, except the shots were all made. Thanks for the effort Jason, I could really use free chicken today. As for the betting public, the end of the game was either the best or worst 30 seconds of the game. Nothing like YSU scoring a meaningless 6 points to lose by only 23!
