First off, we cannot continue our bad trend of winning every other game this week! WW(d2)LWLWLWLWLW Winning like this wont get us far in the conference standings! Butler is definitely in a rebuilding season. I expect them still to battle thursday unlike any game they've played so far this season. It's going to be a great game. GO MILWAUKEE! Later, UWMfreak

I would hope that we'll come out hitting our open shots.. that's something we havent been able to do for a while now! I sure wouldnt expect a great game.. hell we haven't played anyone as well as we played Michigan early on in the season, and definitely not in the past 4 or 5 games.

Only 2 more days until the Bulter game ;D. As much as I think we are going to roll Butler, this game scares me a little. I agree with Freak, Bulter is going to come out and battle and hopefully we will not go through a 8 minute scoring drought on Thursday. Even though in my book, scoring 82 points in 32 minutes is still pretty damn impressive. It's time for us to go on a run and win 10 or so in a row.

BU is going to feel the wrath of the Klotsche Krazies! The students are definitely heading back...this will be our largest turnout since the tourny last season against Butler. ;D Kingsbury, I agree, it is time for a run (we're long overdue!)...maybe if we win a few more games ESPN will actually list a Horizon League team in their bracketology. LOL, now that is a good sign our conference is down this year! GO MILWAUKEE! Later, UWMfreak btw...we're planning on forcing the streak saturday at Loyola. A bus of students is heading down and we plan on making it our home court! (of course now I probably ruined the BU game...knock on wood).

Enjoy the game.. because it will probably be a cake walk for you. We are playing as bad as I have ever seen us.. partly because I wasn't thinking about college basketball in the early ninety's when we were still building the program. I know that everybody guns for Butler, but I think the satisfaction just isnt there this year, as bad as we are.. Its almost like that old saying, we couldnt hit water if we jumped out of a boat..

This is a dangerous game, but i think that the reason that the students are coming back because they think that the name Butler means the devil. They will show up just to try and reinact the tourney game. The more people we have razzing the young guys from butler the better. Hopefully freak gets a mint from todd on thursday.

How many students are you guys expecting to show up?
I wish the local media would advertise the game a bit more. Has anyone seen anything in the paper or on TV or heard anything on the radio?
I think that there will be a good crowd there, but nothing to out of the ordinary (5,500 IMO). I think the fact that the game is on TV will stop some from coming since they can just sit at home and watch it.

Butler has made itself a target by winning so often for so long. This season the Bulldogs have lost to five teams -- Ball State, Bradley, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Saint Louis and Wright State -- that were a collective 0-7 against them a year ago. Now, finally, the Bulldogs can take a turn at payback. They will play at Wisconsin-Milwaukee tonight in a rematch of last year's Horizon League championship game at U.S. Cellular Arena. Scoring 85 would be pretty impressive.. but I really dont see it hapenning.. you will win, but I'd say the winners score will be in the low 70's to high 60's.
Dylan Page will probably be off the charts tonight.
Sucks to be a Bulldog fan right now..

"Out of the nation's 326 teams, they are 317th in scoring (57.1) and 308th in field goal percentage (.384)." This is from the following article/preview: www.indystar.com/articles/1/109599-5451-043.htmlAlso, this is an interesting quote from Joel Cornette (currently an assistant coach): Joel Cornette, a student assistant coach whose playing career ended last season, said Detroit used to be Butler's biggest rival. Now, it's the Panthers. "They've taken the torch as being our biggest rival. Right now, they're definitely king of the hill," Cornette said.
